I am inspired by Veronica's story, her spirit, undeniable quest for truth and answers to life. I was given a new perspective through her eyes of the challenges that she's faced head on, making decisions that would change her direction, test her faith, struggles to overcome racism, sexism while trying to make sense of her presence on earth. I tip my hat to Veronica for never giving up, seeing things through and rising above all of the nonsense that comes one's way to get to her truth. It’s been years since I was so captivated by a life story. The Iron Man story is awe inspiring. The personal tragedy and struggle that Veronica had to overcome would have felled many of us. But the beauty of the story to me is the hope it left me with. With every turn in her personal, professional and athletic life, I gained nuggets of wisdom on how to live life. Seeing the world through the author’s eyes was a prism that made me think about my life choices and where I can still grow. Please give this a read- it is well written, poignant and raw.
